Notes on the Fae/Fae World

--- Vampires seem to be unaffected by the Sun. Different realm, different physics.

--- Basic Manners include NOT saying "Thank you" or Apologizing.

--- Do not steal from the fae. They take ownership very seriously, and if caught, you might very well be eaten.

--- The fae take their deals and bargains very seriously. Do not make deals lightly, and always watch for loopholes.

--- Assume the fae are out for their own interest first. The adopted are 'tools', 'pets', and 'prisoners'. They are not particularly cared for except in one of these categories.

--- The fae operate on barter and trade and IOUs. There is no currency that comprises 'money'.

Event Related

--- January (before Spike arrived) had a dragon attack the castle. Seemingly unprovoked, but rumors say the dragon might've been baited or controlled. Adopted were expected to handle it, with Seelie doing nothing and Unseelie at least ushering away any civilians. Only when the dragon seemed near to being defeated, did the Rulers put it under some kind of shield and whisk it away. No one knows where, and eventually it was released.

---

Party Related (TDM)

--- Late Spring (May), Party given where new arrivals was brought in featured a hedged maze Labyrinth. Apparently some unseelie fae were wandering around it unsupervised and unbidden, making it a point to hunt the Adopted. This lead to arguments and a rift between the courts. Manifesting as a chasm in the castle between the two dorms. (The Chasm varied in width according to how bad the rift was.)
--- The chasm was deep and filled with a sense of loathing and resentment and negative energy.

NPC Meetings (Not at the TDM)
--- Second Meeting with Sahar Spike gets the information that bringing the Adopted in was Prince Hagalaz's idea. He and Sahar also talk about souls. Spike finds out the fae all somewhat 'share' a soul with each other. Not like a hive-mind. An offer is made for him to get a soul that way, with an implied threat that others might be made unwilling test subjects. He's given time to think it over.
